The Limerick Show is bigger and better this year with lots of new attractions to keep you and your family entertained!
Limerick’s largest family & agricultural festival returns to Limerick Racecourse on Sunday August 27th 2023. Kids under 18 go free! €10 for adults.
Up to 15,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors and 150 trade exhibitors will descend on Limerick Racecourse to experience a unique event which aims to bring the people of Limerick City and County together.
There's something for everyone at the Show; Competitions, Shows, Food Village, Markets, KidsZone, Fashion Show & Best Dressed Lady, Careers Village and a Sustainability and AgTech Hub!

The Food Village will showcase the very best of local produce and is sure to be a feast for the senses. Discover your inner foodie by exploring the delights on offer including gourmet sausages, grilled meats, artisan cheese, handmade chocolates and more.
Limerick Show is renowned for showcasing the best of Irish horse breeding. This year is no exception as one of the special features is a Festival of Irish Breeding presented by the Traditional Irish Horse Association. This incorporates the famous Limerick Lady and Matron Championships. The TIHA Hunter Equitation class makes a return this year. This is aimed at encouraging a higher standard of production of traditionally-bred horses aged five and upwards.
In addition to the diverse agricultural programme, there are lots of new family-friendly additions to the show-absolutely free! The infamous Kids Zone makes a welcome return with free kids entertainment including bouncy castles, face painting, juggling workshops and an animal farm. If the little ones get tired they can hop on the kiddies train and catch a lift around the show grounds. Kids under 16 get free entry to the show so there really is no excuse to leave the kids at home!
The family Dog Show is always a star attractions on the day kicking off at 1pm. Visitors can shop to their hearts content at the indoor and outdoor retail village, artisan food stalls, farm machinery and more. There will be a range of music and dance attractions on the day. Other attractions include Show Jumping, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, Craft, Art, Photography, Baking classes and Horticulture exhibits.
This year there are two new addition to the Programme; Careers Village & the Sustainability & AgTech Hub. The Careers Village at the Limerick Show is a fantastic opportunity for employers and candidates alike, to meet and network. Are you looking for a new beginning, opportunity, or challenge? Whether you are looking to kick start your career or well experienced and seeking a new challenge, the Careers Village at the Limerick Show enables you to introduce yourself and chat with some of the biggest employers in the world, who are located here in Limerick.
As the world becomes more aware of the global sustainability challenge, agricultural and sustainability technology (AgTech & SusTech) is playing a key role in creating a more sustainable environment and food production system. As well as a more sustainable business for farmers by creating new efficiencies and opportunities. At the Limerick Show we believe it is the perfect time to showcase all there is to offer in this vastly growing industry at Limerick’s largest agricultural festival. They’ll be a dedicated Sustainability & Technology Hub at the Limerick Show showcasing the very best AgTec and SusTech companies and solutions. As well as Sustainability presentations and discussions on the day.
